Position Summary
The Research Statistician at Brado is an expert on statistical analysis and advanced quantitative research methods. This person understands and can execute high-level statistical analyses, acts as an internal consultant, and can also be client-facing and explain technical results to a non-technical audience. This person will partner with the Insights team to identify and recommend statistical analyses and ensure research is designed to meet the learning objectives.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Execute and manage statistical analyses on projects
- Develop methods of presenting statistical analyses to meet the needs of the Insight Team
- Identify and recommend most appropriate statistical analyses (if any) to use on quantitative projects
- Work with Insight Strategists on proposals to design appropriate analytic approach based on the client’s needs
- Create experimental design needs for research
- Mentor colleagues on “all things statistical”
- Build relationships with clients and become known to them as a valuable resource for statistical guidance
- Mentor Data Processing & Research Analysts to build knowledge across Analytics team
- Embodies Brado’s “In Service to Others” manager best practices, specifically the key tenets of Accessibility, Empowerment & Developing Others
Qualifications & Additional Basic Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics minimum (graduate degree preferred / ideal). Or a Master’s degree in a quantitative area of study such as mathematics, operations research, etc.
- 3+ years of applied professional experience in the survey marketing research field
- High level of proficiency in either SPSS, SAS, or R.
- Strong understanding of principles and application of advanced multi-variate analyses, cluster analysis, choice model design, MaxDiff, TURF.
- Ability to inspire trust in Brado’s clients
- Pharmaceutical, med tech / med device, consumer health marketing research experience with patients and health-care professionals is a plus
- Extraordinary interpersonal skills, easily demonstrated strategic acumen, passion for teaching others and thought leadership is a must.
